Julia Alvarez, a Dominican highly acclaimed writer
will be in Dallas as part of the Writer's Garret event.
Ms. Alvarez is the author of several books including
"On the Time of Butter Flies" .
The book was also turned into a movie about Las Hermanas Mirabal.
